The work

  • Develop dashboards and reports, primarily in Power BI, Tableau or self-hosted BI, for operational metrics and management decisions.
  • Take data collection, transformation and reporting work from the initial brief through to release.
  • Analyse business metrics, investigate deviations and prepare recommendations.
  • Improve data processing, completeness and quality.
  • Help standardise documentation, data marts and quality checks.

Role-specific skills

  • Experience building clear interactive dashboards and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or self-hosted alternatives.
  • Advanced SQL for data selection, cleaning and optimisation, including window functions and views.
  • Confident use of Python and Pandas.
  • Understanding of data warehouses and staging, core and mart layers.
  • A sound understanding of statistics.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in on-premises or self-hosted environments.
  • Experience checking data quality, reconciliation and anomalies.
  • Understanding of the business metrics relevant to a project.

Commercial experience

We consider Junior+, Middle and Senior specialists. Each field requires at least six months of relevant commercial experience. Courses and personal projects can add to it.

Courses and personal projects do not replace commercial experience.

Experience using AI tools in commercial work is a plus, with results checked through tests and review and confidentiality respected.
