The work
- Design and develop Python test automation frameworks.
- Automate web, API and integration testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and maintain test reports.
- Analyse defects, take part in code review and manage test coverage.
Role-specific skills
- Confident Python skills, including pytest, fixtures and parametrisation.
- Commercial experience writing maintainable automated tests.
- API test automation with httpx or requests and schema validation.
- Manual testing experience.
- REST API and integration testing experience.
- Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience building mock services with WireMock or similar tools.
- CI/CD experience.
- Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or ReportPortal.
- SQL skills for joins, subqueries, aggregations and DML.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Basic Docker skills and an understanding of Kubernetes.
Commercial experience
We consider Junior+, Middle and Senior specialists. Each field requires at least six months of relevant commercial experience. Courses and personal projects can add to it.
Courses and personal projects do not replace commercial experience.
Experience using AI tools in commercial work is a plus, with results checked through tests and review and confidentiality respected.
