The work
- Develop backend services and APIs in Node.js/TypeScript.
- Design microservices, integrations and communication through message brokers.
- Work with databases and write unit and integration tests.
- Take part in code review, diagnosis and work on service reliability.
Role-specific skills
- Knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP and JSON.
- Understanding of async/await and the event loop.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
- Experience with an ORM or query builder.
- Git experience.
- Basic Docker knowledge.
- Understanding of JWT/OAuth, authentication and authorisation.
- Unit and integration testing experience.
- Understanding of backend architecture and microservices.
- Understanding of API contracts.
- Experience with message brokers.
- Database and query optimisation experience.
- Understanding of observability and fault tolerance.
Commercial experience
We consider Junior+, Middle and Senior specialists. Each field requires at least six months of relevant commercial experience. Courses and personal projects can add to it.
Courses and personal projects do not replace commercial experience.
Experience using AI tools in commercial work is a plus, with results checked through tests and review and confidentiality respected.
